Process Discovery
Checking whether available event data supports process mining
Check case IDs, activities, timestamps and event coverage before deciding whether process mining can answer your question.

Process Discovery
Process Discovery
Comparing process logs with the documented workflow
Map logged events to the applicable workflow, inspect differences by case and decide whether a gap concerns data, documentation or the route taken.
Process Discovery
Coordinating joiner and leaver requests
Use a single event case to coordinate joiner and leaver requests, route owned tasks, handle date changes and confirm outcomes.
Process Discovery
Distinguishing observed delay from its underlying cause
Learn what a long gap in a process log establishes and how to check possible causes against case records.
Process Discovery
Handling duplicate documents before financial posting
A duplicate invoice can enter through email, a portal and a scanned paper copy.
Process Discovery
Identifying repeated handoffs in a process
Trace ownership changes by case, count returns and check why work crossed the same team boundary more than once.
Process Discovery
Identifying workarounds that hide a broken process
Find undocumented workarounds, trace the obstacle each one solves, and decide whether the process needs repair before removing a local fix.
Process Discovery
Mapping a process from trigger to business result
Define a process trigger and verifiable result, trace one case through handoffs, and check that the endpoint reflects the recipient’s outcome.
Process Discovery
Mapping the steps in document intake
Map document receipt, case matching, preparation and handoffs so unusable or unmatched submissions stay visible.
Process Discovery
Process automation versus task shortcuts
See when a task shortcut is enough, when a process needs coordinated automation, and how to check the full business result.
Process Discovery
Process discovery and mapping
Learn how to discover the current process, map handoffs and exceptions, and check the route against real cases before proposing changes.
Process Discovery
Process mining and operational evidence
Learn what process mining can show from event logs, where its evidence stops and how to investigate recorded routes and delays.
Process Discovery
Recording exceptions alongside the normal path
Show where cases leave the normal process, who owns them, and how they return or close without crowding the main map.
Process Discovery
Reviewing changes to automated decision rules
Compare old and new rule outcomes, confirm authority, check boundary cases and record the release and its effect on pending work.
Process Discovery
Robotic process automation
Understand what RPA bots do, how to assess a suitable task, when to consider integration and what a bounded pilot should check.
Process Discovery
Routing a purchase request by value and category
Design purchase-request approval rules using value and category, then check mixed requests, boundary cases and material edits.
Process Discovery
Separating data extraction from business approval
Keep proposed fields, checked information, approval and execution as distinct states in a document workflow.
Process Discovery
Standardising a process before copying an automation
Compare eligibility, decisions, handoffs and results before copying an automation, while retaining justified local variations.
